The star rating system can be a bit hit and miss, with most resorts from two-star upwards offering a passable restaurant and swimming pool. Beyond that, the quality seems variable, with the Goan climate taking it's toll on the older resorts.

The Majorda Beach Resort where the reception will take place has a good reputation and have heard positive anecdotal evidence from people that have stayed there.

North Goa offers much greater choice, especially in the mid-range (***), with the Candolim/Calangute area being about an hour by taxi from where the wedding will take place.
